We’d like to be irrelevant, not needed, part of the past, a dusty memory in a beat-up history book. We’d like disparity to be solved — forever — and reach a goal of equity for all — everywhere. To no longer hear the voices of bigotry, feel the mark of injustice, and see the signs of rejection.
We’d like to close the doors of Stark NAACP and go home equal, accepted, welcome, and loved. Until that happens and we can share the sweet breeze of true freedom and happiness, our doors will remain open to those in need, those who desire to help, and those who want to learn about why we seek justice.
